The final Goodbye!!

Hey all! I am back with another short read…

It was a lazy day, I had a long week due to major releases past few weeks and wanted some refreshments to gear up before weekends. So I called my friend over a coffee at our regular catch up.

It was a Friday afternoon, I walked into the café and it was quiet busy. I grabbed my favorite spot in café just beside a huge window and was waiting for my friend to drop in. I was curiously looking out and observing people passing by, just like a small kiddo. When suddenly, I saw them enter the café and settle on a table besides mine, since that was the only available. They looked at each other and exchanged smiles and instantaneously looked apart.

He called the waiter and asked for menu. She decided their beverages and he went to counter to place an order for two of them. Till he returned, she was almost lost in her thoughts and blankly stared out of the window pane. He returned and grabbed a seat in front of her, but she still was in her own thoughts. He held her hand and a tear rolled down her cheeks. He passed on a tissue to her and they just stared at each other for a while… With filled eyes he made some apologies, some promises, some confessions and told some hidden truths, she too heard him out keenly, knowing the depth of his talks. Listening to him, she couldn’t stop but tears flooded in her beautiful eyes. They got indulged deeply in some serious talks and in middle of something they both burst out and had a good laugh. It was so cheerful to see their happy faces and twinkling eyes, trying to hide their pain of parting. I had all my ears to their sweet whispers from table aside. I was enjoying this Bollywood scene when suddenly my friend dropped in and got my attention. We then ordered are regular frappes and returned to our table, till then they had their coffee and were heading out, holding hands and smiling ear to ear. As they stepped out, they were playful and contented. They seemed so complete together that I could hardly stop admiring them, till they rode off, out of my sight. My friend was curious to know what hooked me on them so much.

I just told her that it was yet another final but sweet Goodbyes, with all good memories to cherish in life. The two of them today were full of some love, laughs, emotions, pain, dejection and more of beautiful delineated memories.
